John Bolton fingers nuclear trigger

Metaphorically speaking of course, and let's hope responsible people make sure that Bolton only has metaphorical access to those nuclear triggers for the rest of his natural life.

The war-mongering imbecile had a great opinion piece in the Globe and Mail today, and I can only assume it was in the Globe because the weightier outlets south of the 49th took a pass on it.

Bolton understands why America is weak.

America is weak because Obama is weak. If we had a true patriot in the White House today North Korea would have been crisper than deep-fried pork rinds a week or two ago, or even months ago,  because there is not another more clear and present danger to freedom in the world than the North Korean dictatorship.

Well, except Iran of course. And Venezuela. And Syria. And Hezbollah...

According to Bolton's world view, the main problem with America is that the wimp in the White House doesn't pursue enough pointless wars, and when he does pursue them, it is not with sufficient earth-scorching zeal to convince the evil-doers that he's serious.

The best thing about reading Bolton is that he never fails to impress upon the reader that, no matter how fucked up the world is, things could be way worse.

Thanks Mr. Bolton!
