Right while I was reading up on all those stories about how Bloomie wants to green-light the development of 9x20 foot apartments, I got to thinking about 1984.
You know; war is peace and all that shit.
So while Mayor Bloomberg is waiting to see just how small an apartment his developer pals can create, I'm wondering about the name for this new concept.
I've seen "micro-unit" and "micro-apartment."
I've also seen "super-studio."
I'm betting they go with super-studio.
By the way, if you had a living space 36 feet by 55, you'd have a 1984 square foot apartment.
Or enough for 11 or 12 super-studios.
