Poor Sheldon. It's not enough that he bears the ignomy of having made billions from the weaknesses of his fellow human beings. But this claim by the National Democratic Jewish Council that he was personally aware of prostitution rings operating in his casinos is a bridge too far.
Nevermind that the NDJC was merely referencing a well-trod news story that's been around for years. He's looking for a cool sixty million in damages.
As if! As if the gambling addicts flocking to his Maacau casinos will cancel their trips when they are reminded of this story! A cynic might postulate that this revelation will drive business up rather than away.
But I'm no cynic, so when Sheldon claims that he is suffering "hatred, contempt, and ridicule" I will take him at his word.
However, when he claims that this recycling of old stories "distorts and chills the political process," well, c'mon Sheldon.
I would suggest you're courting more contempt and ridicule with nonsense like that.
Nothing distorts the political process like the unfettered freedom of wealthy donors to pour millions upon millions of dollars into their bought-and-paid-for political favorites.
